Independence Day

Today is Finland's independence day, which they celebrate as their national holiday. The background to the celebration is the declaration of independence from Russia on this day in 1917. We have also celebrated it a little, mostly because we like Finland and believe its independence is a good and important thing, but also because we have a pup here at home who is white as a moomin troll.
