Meanwhile, in Japan

There was a partial solar eclipse over Sweden yesterday. I never care much, I am more interested in the lunar eclipse in half a month. Small wonder, since my name is Lunar Eclips.

Meanwhile, in Japan, interesting things happen. - Prime Minister Yasuo Fusuda has reshuffled his cabinet, creating something new for himself instead of the list of ministers that he basicly inherited from his predecessor Shinzo Abe. We will have to see if this raises his and his party's low popularity among the voters. - Tuna fishermen has decided to suspend fishing of tuna, for periods of a total of two months in the coming two years. The aim is to take a first step to restore the dwindling stock of tuna in the seas. It will not be enough in itself, but the Japanese fishermen will try to co-ordinate the operation with similar fishermen organizations in China, Taiwan, and South Korea. I hope they succeed, tuna is tasty, so we would want the stock of it to live on in the future.
