We have a holiday today, celebrating when wise men came from the East to baby Jesus, giving Him three gifts fit for a King.
It does not say in the Bible that there were three wise men, just that they brought three gifts. It is reasonable to think they were three, each with his own gift. Oral tradition says they were three, and even names them as Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar. I guess it is reasonable to think they were three, even though we cannot be sure.
We can celebrate, no matter how many or few wise men there were.
