The Winter Came and Went

We had a rather good snowfall yesterday. There was about 5 centimetres of snow on the ground, and Daniel shoveled snow for the first time this winter. However, by afternoon the temperatures rised above the freezing point, it started to rain, and there is very little snow left after the thaw today. Will there ever be a decent winter this year? I hope so, if only for a little while. Despite my mature age, I do love to play in deep snow. So does my daughter Polly. We would like to have more snow than this.
