Exomoon?

The first moon orbiting a planet in a different star system than our own may have been found.

Such a moon may be called an exomoon, like the planets in such systems are called exoplanet. These words are actually just a sign of our heliocentric view of space, where everything beyond the Solar system is special and gets the prefix exo. They are planets and moons, just not in our little backyard of the universe.

Researchers are still not sure if the data obtained really constitutes proof of a moon, but it seems to be the most plausible explanation. Still, the scientists urge caution, not least because signs of exomoons have been seen before, but proved to be false. I hope this moon really is there, it would be a nice news story.
